In August of 2000 we took another trip to DC, this
time we took my parents along. They enjoyed all the sites
as it was their first trip there.
This page has lots of pics so may load slow.
The first pic is of the United States Capitol Building.
We visited all the beautiful memorials.
Our first stop was the Jefferson Memorial.
Then it was on to the Lincolm Memorial
Pictured below is the Iwo Jima Memorial and the Vietnam.
We also visited Ford's Theatre where Lincoln was shot
and directly across the street is the house where he died.
On to the National Archives and a view
of the Constitution of the United States.
Below is the FBI building and the next pic is self explanatory
it's us pooped out after a day of sightseeing.
Of course the Kennedy gravesites is a must.
1st a pic of John, Jackie and their childrens, then Roberts.
Also toured Arlington house and the tomb of the unknown soldier.
Below is the Attorney General's office. Then a picture of the Pentagon which we also toured.
We also visited the Capitol and sat in Vice President, Al Gore's chair. We had a "personal" tour guide,
thanks to a good friend of ours Tony.
And of course we visited the White House!
Unfortunately, it was raining when we came out so didn't get any pics.
