We took a lovely cruise on the Carnival's Destiny in January
of 2000. Our ship stopped at the ports of San Juan, Puerto Rico
St. Croix, and St. Thomas.

It sure was huge and absolutely gorgeous.
After a long day sightseeing and a lovely meal with
some great evening entertainment, it was already nice to
go to our room to see what new artistic design our room
steward would make with our towels. And don't forget
the mint we'd always find on our pillow.
I could get used to this room service!!
Now wait just a minute here. He's not cooking tonight
is he? He claims he doesn't know how!!!
Here's us along with Don and Karen Gwin, a very nice
couple we enjoyed meeting on the cruise and with whom we've stayed
in touch via email and the wonderful world of computers.

This is Christiansted harbor and a beautiful rainbow
directly over Buck Island. The pictues don't begin to do
the islands justice. They're beautiful!
This is the old fort in St. Croix along with a picture of
Point Udall, the easternmost point of the United States.
St. Croix is a part of the Virgin Islands which belong to
the U.S.
Here are some pics of the museums on St. Croix. Whim estate
was one of the old sugar plantations as was The Buccaneer.
This one is the Buccaneer which was a sugar plantation,
the next is a picture of workers bottling Cruzan rum, which is
made only on the island of St. Croix. Rum runners! Yum Yum!!!
And what's a cruise without some shopping!!!! And then,
we can't forget our dress up nights!
