In August 1989 we had a State Farm Convention
in Dallas, Texas. We drove and made several stops, I've
included some highlights from each stop here. Enjoy!
Our first stop was in Monet Missouri to
visit with Cecil and Ginny Meyers. We met them
in Hawaii. Went to a German festival while there
and I danced the polka with Cecil. WHEW!
Then it was on to Tulsa Oklahoma, where we
met up with Bob and Dawna Leonard, Bob married us.
We visited the Oral Roberts University while there.
Then it was on to Dallas and the convention.
We stayed at Loew's Anatole, did some shopping,
even visited South Fork and the Kennedy museum.
The entertainment was a Liza Minelli concert.
No, everyone didn't "accidentally" pick
the same jacket. All the agents wore green jackets and tan pants.
The building where JFK was shot from is now a museum
Shopping with friends, Ron & Linda Leighty
and Keith and Eleanor Riker.
Then what's Dallas without a trip to South Fork?
Then it was on to Memphis and Graceland.
We sure packed a lot into this short trip from August
18, 1989 to August 25th.
