Now, for some of the nice folks that we visited with along our way
here are some pics of them and places of interest.
Our first stop was in Conneaut, Ohio where we visited with
Larry Williams and Barb Orrenmaa. Had a great time! It's right on
Lake Erie so we viewed that, went pymatuming, where it's said
the fish are so plentiful that the ducks can actually walk
on their backs and it's true. Then of course the ladies won
at the evening card games as usual!
Then it was on to Midland Michigan and Virg and Red Moore's.
These great folks were our winter neighbors in Florida for several
years. Sure do miss them now. Midland is the home of Dow Chemical,
then Frankenmuth, the Bavarian town and Bronner's Christmas Village
are very close by.
Saying goodbye is always the tough part, especially when
Red had a spell with his heart the night before we left and
couldn't be there for these pictures. You don't think
it could be because we won playing cards! Just kidding Red!!
Then it was on to Michigan and the home of Bob and
Joan Stivers. They live in my parents park in the winter
We met them when we owned a place there ourselves. We had a
great time visiting there, the guys golfed, we shopped and
watched the lovely hummingbirds. Went down to their pond
They have a lovely home, quiet and peaceful setting.
Unfortunately my photographer fell asleep on the job so
I only have the one picture from there. Boo Hoo!
